Wet Office (I lost my sense of time, BUZZING, zooming, c-o-l-l-e-c-t-i-v-i-t-y, the rhythm is fucking, open-closed, ROLLING, the digital “spaces”, spot lights)

Oslo National Academy of the Artswash rack, embroidered towels
I made this work as a reaction to being confined to what they call 'home office' during lockdown. Firstly, I never had an office, but an artist studio, so I was confused by suddenly having an imaginary office. I see the towels as being papers and notes that you accidentally dip in water, because you are eating and living and working on the same desk. And suddenly you lose all your information. I think I can say that being part of the pandemic feels like your brain is constantly being dipped in water. My sense of time and memory is totally fucked up, and I have a feeling of having reached limited capacity in my mental container. All the embroideries on the towels are illustrations that I made in attempt to describe this state of mind.
